Typed Letter signed "CH. Weizmann" to Lady Lloyd George
1p., 4to, 77 Great Russell Street, London, 26th October 1945, “I feel I must send you a word to say how deeply moved I was by your letter in the Daily Telegraph. In these dark days, when we are assailed on all sides by difficulties - by enemies intent on killing our last hope - such evidences of continuing friendship and understanding are doubly precious to us, and mean more than words can express. Your letter came as a reminder that the great spirit of your husband still lives on, and we are deeply grateful to you”, with an autograph postscript initialled “Ch W” on letter, signature and note sadly faded, browned, foxed, folds, punch holes in left hand margin, framed and glazed, sm. 4to.
