This monumental manuscript was produced between 1390 and 1400 in Prague by order of the Bohemian King Wenceslas IV (1361-1419), written and illuminated in the most precious way in the style of the international Gothic, the soft style. The biblical text is one of the oldest translations of the Old Testament into German.
