White Marble Figure of an Exotic Woman Revealing Herself Modern Standing in a sheer gown, holding a cloak and a fan in her right hand and to her side to reveal her face, the rim of her hood trimmed in rose blossoms, on a square base, unsigned. Height 70 1/4 inches. C
Marble: half of the figure's index finger on her raised left hand is now missing and the adjacent finger has been broken off and glued back on; there are breaks to the beaded chain above the figure's right thigh, however, two of the broken pieces (2 beads per piece) are present; chip losses to the rim edge of the four; scuff marks and soiling to the surface, mostly on the back side; there has been an extensive crack and restoration with infilling across the base, including through the figure's right foot; large chip loss to the bottom central edge of the head veil on the reverse side; yellow stain/rust(?) lines through various parts of the marble, presumably natural to the stone, unsigned
