Hogarth" l.l. and inscribed "Publish'd according to Act of Parliament Sepbr. 30, 1747" l.r. in the plate, plate size 10 1/8 x 13 7/8 in. (25.7 x 35.7 cm); Cockpit signed "Design'd and Engrav'd by Willm. Hogarth" and inscribed "Publish'd according to Act of Parliament Nov. 5th 1759" in the plate, plate size 11 11/16 x 14 11/16 in. (29.7 x 37.3 cm); both framed. Condition: Both with toning and subtle rippling, 'Prentice with foxing, Cockpit with staining, not examined out of frames.
