Lot of 22 of President McKinley's Western Tours, 1900 and 1901. Includes 20 by Underwood & Underwood of the Western tours plus 2 by Universal Photo Art of the 1897 unveiling of Washington Statue in Philadelphia. Greeting children from rear of railroad car at Canton; speaking from railroad car at Alliance (plus a duplicate); speaking in Illinois at Waukegan; Quincy and Galesburg on 41st Anniversary of Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Speaking at West Superior and Minneapolis, Minnesota; 3 (including a duplicate) speaking at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas; and 5 of his visit to Congress Gold Mine, Phoenix, Arizona including having his photo made by a miner's daughter. 21 buff curved mounts and 1 gray curved mount. Includes 2 trimmed mounts from Dr. Gidal collection. 2 with penned notations and "Ed Burchard Collection" imprint on versos. Provenance: The Ed Burchard Stereoview Collection Condition: Overall bright and clear. One duplicate has soiled mount. 2 Universal Photo Art views have slight rubbed mount corners. One of Dr. Gidal Collection views is taped. Otherwise a very attractive lot.
