London and Edinburgh: Whittaker, Treacher, & Arnot and Stirling & Kenney, 1832. 3 volumes, 8 o (215 x 130 mm). Half-titles in volumes one and two, separate sectional-title to Bonaparte's text. Engraved frontispiece portrait of Wilson after J.W. Gordon by W.H. Lizars on india paper mounted, 97 hand-colored engraved plates, 76 after Wilson and 21 after T.R. Peale, A. Rider and J.J. Audubon (one figure of plate 4), all by Lizars, two wood-engravings in text. This early joint edition of Wilson and Bonaparte's text was edited by William Jardine and combines all of Wilson's American Ornithology with the first three volumes of Bonaparte's.
