Contemporary London binding of olive goatskin, with the royal arms of Charles I blocked in gilt in the centre of the covers on a semis of a flower, star, and fleuron, border of double fillets and a roll of a flower in a circle and inverted chevrons, gilt inner dentelles, gilt edges of covers, spine tooled with a long gilt panel of the same roll and semis pattern, comb-marbled paste-downs, all edges gilt. Ties missing, joints, corners and headcaps somewhat worn, some scuffs on the covers, including one through the upper arms block, lower headcap repaired. Minor foxing. Nineteenth century bookplate of the earl of Roden. Photo. The five maps are of the Duchy of Gerica, Nijmegen, Roermond, Zutphen and Arnhem. The town plans are of Nijmegen, Arnhem, Zutphen and Harderwijk.
