In addition, there are a number of orders relating to HMS Squid, the tank landing craft repair base at Southampton, in particular naval exercises 'Incarnate', 'Cackle' and 'Puddleduck'. Amongst the papers for Operation Avalanche is an original Communication Sheet signed by the Naval Officer in charge, taking Admiral Leonardi of the Italian navy into custody.
