Lot of 3. 4 x 4 in, ash tray made from a shell with an Egyptian coin in the center inscribed, Presented to Dr. George Stewart by Lieut. Gen. Sir George Erskine KBE, CB, DSO. Commanding the British Troops in Egypt. "General Sir George Erskine, GCB KBE, DSO (1899-1965), served in the wars of 1914-1918 and 1939-1945. He was General Officer Commanding British Troops, Egypt and Mediterranean Command, 1949-1952; General Officer Commander-in-Chief Eastern Command, 1952-1953; Commander-in-Chief East Africa Command, 1953-1955; Aide-de-Camp General to the Queen, 1955-1958, and General Officer Commander-in-Chief Southern Command, 1955-1958. After his retirement he served as Lieutenant-Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Jersey, 1958-1963" (http://discovery.nationalarchives.gov.uk/details/r/C14442). 5 x 4.5 in. cup fashioned out of a shot gun shell with the map of Europe and major events of World War II, and a stevengraph of British explorer and journalist of Central Africa, Sir Henry Morton Stanley.
