Lot of 38, comprised of World War II-era signed cards, signed photographs, letters and more from military and political leaders. Notable signatures include: a clipped signature of Telford Taylor, a lawyer at the Nuremberg Trials; Major General and D-Day survivor Maxwell D. Taylor's clipped signature; fighter pilot J.H. "Jimmy" Doolittle's signature; an autographed card from General MacArthur's Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Richard K. Sutherland; General Omar N. Bradley, field commander in North Africa and Europe, autographed card; member of the "Black Sheep Unit," fighter pilot Gregory "Pappy" Boyington's signature; successor to MacArthur, General J.M. Wainwright's autographed card; Lieutenant General who served with Eisenhower, Walter B. Smith's autograph; signed card from a flag raiser at Iwo Jima, John H. Bradley; General and Army Chief of Staff George C. Marshall, the man attributed to the Marshall Plan. Other items include a letter written and signed by Sophie Sondheim and signed autographed cards by other military men as well as many others. Condition: Most of the cards are in protective sleeves but are not attached, most have cases of toning. None appear to have any residual glue stains from past scrapbooks.
