WWII Medals. A family group of medals comprising a WWII group of five to Bombardier T.R. Brown, Royal Artillery, 1939-1945 Star, Burma Star, Defence and War Medals, Territorial Efficiency Medal, G.VI.R., with ‘Territorial’ scroll suspension (829806 Bdr. T.R. Brown. R.A.), extremely fine, mounted for wearing, with a collection of artefacts and documents relating Brown’s service in Burma, including a "war souvenir" Japanese flag, profusely signed and with holes suggesting it was used in bayonet practice! Two large portrait photographs including one in tropical uniform, Soldier’s Service Book, Record of Service card, newspapers , a reference etc, together with a WWI British War Medal to his father (40539 Pte. G.H. Walker. North’n. R.), toned, good very fine plus a WWII Defence and War Medal, reputedly Thomas Ronald Brown’s wife, extremely fine, mounted for wearing. 40538 Private George H. Brown served during the Great War with The Northamptonshire Regiment, Territorial Reserves (TR/6/18145), North Staffordshire Regiment (42321) and The Cheshire Regiment (70060). 829806 Bombardier Thomas Ronald Brown born 1912, Brown was called for service at the outbreak of WWII and served with 425/107th (S.N.H.) Regiment, R.H.A., T.A. as a Motor Mechanic. (8)
