Y A SWISS WALNUT AND ROSEWOOD BANDED MUSICAL BOX SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, UNSIGNED Playing a choice of twelve airs via a 13 inch cylinder and combes on a gilt brass bed, with winding lever to the left and CHANGE/REPEAT and STOP/PLAY levers to the right, a dial mounted with arrow indicator for the tune number 19.5cm high, 71cm wide, 30cm deep Condition Report: The case with Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, overall polished appearance however There is no tune sheet to the lid, it is unknown which airs this box plays. The underside of the glazed door with a later velvet thong. There is a case key present that operates the lock at time of report The action working at time of report and playing the airs - this may well require a clean/overhaul by a clock restorer overall. There is some pitting and discolouration to the cylinder. The side levers do not appear to be operating at time of report. The tune selection dial is moving as the cylinder rotates The teeth to the combs appear to all be present, and do the pins to the cylinder.
