1957 Mercedes-Benz Unimog 411 " Froschauge " châssis long No reserve Titre de circulation allemand Châssis n° 7500866 - Historique limpide et documentée - Restauration méticuleuse - Rare et techniquement intéressant - Sans réserve Créée en 1946, Unimog traduisait la volonté de Mercedes-Benz de lancer une marque commerciale consacrée à la diffusion de petits camions utilitaires tout-terrain. Dix ans plus tard était lancé le modèle 411, robuste engin à 4 roues motrices et aux capacités de franchissement remarquables, grâce notamment aux essieux et à la transmission placés au-dessus du centre des roues, lui valant le surnom de " chèvre de montagne ". Son moteur 4 cylindres diesel faisait des merveilles, accouplé à une boite de vitesse à 6 rapports courts complété par un système de blocage manuel des différentiels avant et arrière. L'exemplaire que nous présentons est parfaitement conforme à sa configuration d'origine, doté de la cabine fermée optionnelle, réalisée par Westfalia, et dont le pare-brise en deux parties et les phares proéminents lui valent le sobriquet d' " yeux de grenouille ". Délivré neuf en septembre 1957 dans le Tyrol, il sera ensuite utilisé en Allemagne du nord, tout en étant bien traité et entretenu. Son kilométrage actuel de 60 000km nous a été confirmé comme étant d'origine par son actuel propriétaire. Ce dernier, collectionneur exigeant d'engins militaires, s'est attaché à en faire une restauration minutieuse, tout en conservant le maximum d'éléments d'origine, à l'image des boiseries de benne arrière simplement re-traitées. Achevée en 2016, cette remise en état met aujourd'hui en valeur un engin rare, techniquement intéressant et dont l'état de présentation est bien au-delà des standards que l'on est habitué à rencontrer sur les utilitaires. Ten years later, the 411 model was launched. The 411 was a very robust 4-wheel-drive vehicle with outstanding crossing capabilities, thanks notably to the axles and transmission located above the center of the wheels, giving it the nickname "mountain goat". Its 4-cylinder diesel engine worked wonderfully well, and mated to its six-speed gearbox completed with a manual locking system for the front and rear differentials. The example we are offering is perfectly in line with its original configuration, and is equipped with the optional closed cabin, made by Westfalia, and whose two-part windshield and prominent headlights earned it the nickname of "frog eyes ". Delivered new in September 1957 in Tyrol, it was then used in Northern Germany, and was treated and maintained very well. Its current mileage of 60,000km has been confirmed as original by its current owner. The latter, a demanding collector of military equipment, has put in a lot of effort to make a very meticulous restoration, while retaining the maximum of the original elements as possible, like the rear pan which has been simply re-treated.
