A Chelsea-Derby claret-ground two-handled cup, cover and stand Circa 1775, gilt entwined anchor and D mark Painted in the manner of Richard Askew , the cover with two oval cartouches enclosing martial and amatory trophies, the cup and saucer with cherubs disporting themselves among clouds within oval gilt-bordered cartouches linked by gilt garlands of flowers and foliage (hairline crack to cover, sanding to saucer and overall wear to gilding) 5 in. (13 cm.) high
