A Collection of Foreign Military Headdress A French officer's dark blue kepi with gold Russia braid trim and gold lace chinstrap, bearing a small gilt star; a grey French kepi, probably for an officer-cadet of St. Cyr, with red top, gold lace and braid trim, bearing a small gold-embroidered grenade; a kepi of the French Foreign Legion with white drill cover and black patent-leather chinstrap; a Greek officer's dark blue cloth kepi, trimmed with silver lace and braid, embroidered Crown badge above a silver and blue embroidered cockade; a Greek officer's khaki service-dress cap with gold-embroidered leaves on peak, brown leather peak-edging and chinstrap, and embroidered Crown badge above a small cockade in blue and silver; a Prussian infantryman's field grey mutze with scarlet band and piping and both cockades (stamped inside BAX 1917 ); an Austro-Hungarian officer's dark red cloth side-cap, the lining printed with details of a Budapest maker, bearing a stamped brass boss in front incised with letters FJI (flap-buttons missing); a Belgian soldier's khaki serge ' Bonnet de police ', with blue Russia tracing and red worsted tassel; a cap of similar style, in dark green cloth, with pale green cloth band, Russia tracing and worsted tassel; and a Polish field-cap of khaki barathea, the top stitched to form a square, with flags and stitched peak and appliqu Eagle badge in machine-embroidery; an American khaki felt wide-brimmed hat, bearing a black badge of the US Marine Corps; and a US tropical side-cap of unlined khaki-drill (lacking badge).
