A Cylinder Music Box j.h. heller, late 19th century having a bird's eye maple case with enhanced original finish and ebonized highlights and interior, glass paneled interior dust cover with internal crank ratchet winding mechanism on the left side of the case and start/stop and repeat/change switches on the right side, will play 6 tunes on an brass cylinder and original tune card under the lid signed J.H. Heller and numbered 9124. Height 6 1/2 x width 20 3/4 inches. Estimate $ 100-200 Property from the Gus R. Edwards Estate, Naples, Florida In stable condition. Box with four cracks under finish to the right side of the lid, two about 3 inches the other two about 1 inch long. Small scratch to the the right side in the center. Small scratch to the front of the box on the right edge. The back side having a 4 inch crack under glaze tot he left edge and two spot scratches to the center. Underside marked 9124 and no 118. Lacquer finish and glass to the interior good with no scratches, chips or wear. Tune card with stains and discoloration. Does not currently play. Crank on left side very tight and does not pull past one or two inches. Likely needs maintenance or repair. No apparent parts to music box missing.
