The helmet rivets are finely fluted. CONDITION: Exterior of helmet in good condition with some significant raised rust. Entire helmet appears to have been rusted and properly polished. Interior of helmet showing considerable age and age corrosion. Helmet has engraved brass plume holder showing considerable wear and age. Form of helmet is excellent and helmets of this type may be seen in museums throughout the United States and Europe. Quality is fine throughout and condition appropriate for one of these rare headpieces.
