A FRENCH ORMOLU AND SEVRES PORCELAIN-MOUNTED SYCAMORE, AMARANTH AND PARQUETRY TABLE EN CHIFFONIERE MID-19TH CENTURY Inlaid overall with nailed trellis pattern, the circular top with central 18th Century porcelain plaque with floral bouquet and with pierced basket-weave gallery above a frieze-drawer with 18th Century rectangular floral porcelain plaque flanked by frieze-panels centered by an Apollo's mask with foliate scrolls, on three rectangular supports with simulated fluting and joined by a circular stretcher on cabriole legs headed by a floral mount and terminating in foliate scroll sabots, with stencil French & Co number '13954', bearing spurious stamp 'M.CARLIN' and further stamp now erased to underside of top 28¾ in. (73 cm.) high, 14 in. (35.5 cm.) diameter
