A GEORGE I WALNUT AND BURR-WALNUT KNEEHOLE DESK EARLY 18TH CENTURY The rectangular crossbanded quarter-veneered caddy top with re-entrant front corners above a frieze drawer with two later oak divisions, above six short drawers around a recessed kneehole door with a drawer above, on later bracket feet, the handles apparently original, the backboard inscribed in chalk '3' and with further indistinct inscriptions, the top reveneered 30¼ in. (77 cm.) high; 31 in. (78.5 cm.) wide; 19¾ in. (50 cm.) deep
