A George II mahogany serpentine fronted side table, circa 1750, 70cm high, 88cm wide, 55cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. The top of one drawer stamped 'PRATT & SON, GUILDFORD'. Robert Pratt (1823-1889), was an antique furniture dealer based on Guildford High Street from the 1850s until the 1880s. Handles are replacements but are of the period. Filler holes visible in areas adjacent to handles from previous fixtures. Two later batons of timber to underside of top. Some later screws securing 'ears' of legs. Of cleaned polished appearance. The top with some evidence of old worm. The holes have been disguised with old filler/dark wax. Condition Report Disclaimer
