A George II walnut and pine chest on chest, circa 1733, 176cm high, 102cm wide, 56cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use Signs of old woodworm Dirt and discolouration to handles, the gilt largely worn Old splits and cracks, chips and losses, chips and losses to veneers and inlays, The cornice has broken and is partially detached to one side - it was balanced and placed on for the photograph but will need some level of restoration before use in a domestic setting, there are signs of old glue here from previous attempts. As catalogued the sides are stained pine the drawer fronts are pine lined, the rest of the drawer is oak.
