A GEORGE V SILVER INKSTAND MARK OF ADIE BROTHERS, BIRMINGHAM, 1934 Rectangular and on four grotesque mask feet, with a Celtic revival border, fitted with two square silver-mounted cut-glass ink bottles, each with hinged cover, the base engraved with an inscription, the covers of one bottle engraved with an initial 'H' below a Royal Duke's coronet, the other engraved with a badge, marked on base, holders and covers 10½ in. (27 cm.) long 28 oz. (860 gr.) The inscription reads ' To H.R.H. The Duke of Gloucester, K.G., K.P., from the Irish Football Association, on the occasion of his Marriage. 6th November, 1935'. The initial is that of H.R.H. The Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester. The badge is that of the Irish Football Association.
