A LARGE GROUP OF HELLENISTIC TERRACOTTA HEADS 4TH-2ND CENTURY B.C. Comprising nineteen heads, including children and female heads, some with hair elaborately dressed wearing wreaths or diadems, one of Mercury with winged headdress, another of a satyr's head with foliate wreath, 2.3/8 in. (6 cm.) high max.; a terracotta figure of a youth with dog, standing naked save for an himation falling to the ground, left hand on hip, a dog curled up asleep beside his right foot, on integral rectangular pedestal base, white slip and remains of pink and red colour, rectangular vent at back, 7 in. (17.8 cm.) high; a terracotta flying Eros with wings outspread, oval vent at back with circular suspension hole, 5in. (12.6 cm.) high, both circa 3rd Century B.C.; and a terracotta draped standing woman, modern, 5¾ in. (14.5 cm.) high, all mounted (22)
