Interesting to speculate why Monroe was buying so much food only two days before her big event of singing 'Happy Birthday' to JFK, especially when she knew she had to be sewn into the gown she'd be wearing. Perhaps she was entertaining or maybe she just kept a well-stocked kitchen. Also included are two invoices from the markets, summing up what she owed from May 17 to 29.
