A MEISSEN (KPM) TEAPOT and a cover of squat baluster form, the curved spout with bearded mask terminal, the loop handle with moulded foliage terminals, painted in the manner of A. F. von Lowenfinck in purple camaieu with Orientals, one before a vase of flowers and wearing a yellow collar and shoes, the other with a seated Oriental holding a yellow fan, the domed cover similarly painted and with knopped spire finial and brown line rim (minute chip to tip of spout, chip to footrim), blue crossed swords and K.P.M. mark, 1724, the decoration circa 1740 12.5cm. high overall (2)
