A PAIR OF IRISH GEORGE III HAREWOOD, SYCAMORE, HOLLY AND MARQUETRY DEMI-LUNE COMMODES ATTRIBUTED TO WILLIAM MOORE OF DUBLIN, CIRCA 1780 Each top with segmented veneers centred by a shaded fan with pendant bellflowers and with ribbon tied swags of husks, within banding inlaid with scrolling foliage and berries and a central bow, within a crossbanded and chequer-strung edge, the satinwood frieze similarly inlaid with swags and anthemia and fronted by a single drawer, above a cupboard door with central shaded fan surmounted by a classical swagged urn, the sides with further conforming swags, on square tapering feet, the reverse labelled 'DRAWING ROOM ', remains of storage label for 'R.STRAHAN ....KINGSBRIDGE, DUBLIN' 32 ¼ in. (82 cm.) high; 37 ½ in. (95 cm.) wide; 18 in. (46 cm.) deep
