A partial Tiffany & Co. sterling silver ''Lap Over Edge'' luncheon service Print Circa 1902 - 1907 (with maker's mark for directorship of Charles T. Cook), a set for ten with one additional luncheon knife, the ten luncheon forks (7.125'') and ten teaspoons (6'') each marked ''Tiffany & Co. Sterling Pat 1880'', each distinctly decorated and titled to back of handle, the luncheon forks: one with ''apricots'', one with ''butter cups'', one with ''cherries'', one with ''grapes'', one with ''melons'', one with ''millet'', one with ''orchid'', one with ''poke berry'', one with ''quince'', and one with ''violets''; the teaspoons: one with ''arbutus'', one with ''closed gentian'', one with ''dandelion'', one with ''dragonfly'', one with ''fish'', one with ''flax'', one with ''honey suckle'', one with ''jasmine'', one with ''primrose'' and one untitled, with seahorses, the eleven hollow handle silver plate bladed luncheon knives (9.125'') each marked ''Tiffany & Co. / New York'' to blades, further marked ''Tiffany & Co. / Makers / Sterling'' to handles, each decorated to handles with distinct fruit, flower and animal motifs, each monogrammed ''HGW / VH'', 31 pieces, weighable sterling 33.07 oz troy approximately , Provenance: Property of Minerva Hamilton Hoyt, South Pasadena, CA. Condition: Overall good condition. General rubbing, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. Heavier wear to blades; some with oxidation and wear to edges revealing base metal. Some blades slightly bent. Evidence of wheel polishing and scattered minor dents to knife handles. Weight does not include silver plate bladed articles. Monogrammed, as stated.
