A PEAR-SHAPED PLAIN WHITE JADE SNUFF BOTTLE, QING DYNASTY Katalognummer: SN0618-027 Almost pure white jade with tiny russet inclusions, smooth surface polish China 18th to 19th century While plain white jade bottles are quite common, undecorated pear-shaped examples are rather rare. This one does not show a perfectly proportioned form, which is not unusual for earlier bottles. In contrast, the color and the purity of the mineral are absolutely striking. Shape: Pear shape Hollowing: Excellent Mouth, neck and lip: Elongated neck of oval shape with small mouth and slightly slanted lip Base: Flat oval Stopper: Green glass Height of the bottle with stopper: 7.3 cm.
