A rare Liberty blue satin evening gown, circa 1910. labelled to the broad grosgrain waist stays in silver 'Liberty London & Paris', with handwritten client name 'Mrs Rolls', also with handwritten paper tag tacked to the inside sleeve stating that the dress was purchased from Liberty's c.1910 for £4, 4 shillings, with couched blue cord strap work and florets to the criss-cross bodice bands and open work sleeves revealing organza linings, trained skirt, bust approx 86cm, 34in, together with a Jays of London terracotta satin opera coat, labelled, with blue satin lining, the exterior adorned with massive embroidered buttons, silk ropes and tassels (2).
