A VICTORIAN OBLONG GALLERY INKSTAND, on four scroll feet, the sides pierced with foliage scrolls and with waved gadrooned rim, fitted with two silver-mounted cut glass ink wells, each engraved with the monogram, H.M.S., engraved with inscription and Prince of Wales badge within the initials A.E. by W. J. Barnard, 1890, engraved Elkington & Co Ltd., Silversmiths, 22 Regent St. London; and a silver-mounted pen and pencil 13¼in. (33.5cm) long (36ozs.) The inscription reads, "To H.M. Stanley, on the occasion of his marriage, from the Prince and Princess of Wales, July 12th 1890".
