Glucksberg Date: [c.1825] Description: [iv], 92 pp. 12 hand-colored plates, each with two illustrations. 15.5x10 cm (6x4") original blindstamped green cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Custom cloth box. Text in French and Polish on opposing pages. A reader in French and Polish introducing various professions based on the letters of the French alphabet. For example, A is for "Agriculteur" (Rolnik), B is for "Boulanger" (Piekarz), and C is for "Charron" (Kolodzicy)... Very rare. OCLC WorldCat locates only the Cotsen copy at Princeton University. Lot Amendments Condition: Cloth rubbed, previous owner's name in ink on front pastedown (Bertha Holbrook), tear to front free endpaper; very good. Item number: 253655
