AN IMPRESSIVE ENGLISH SILVER-MOUNTED LEATHER BOMBARD 17TH CENTURY Of usual pear-shaped form with a silver top rim (unmarked) with a lambrequin motif along lower edge and a (possibly later) applied silver shield to front engraved with the crowned initials 'C S 1680', the handle has an attached silver mounted leather collar inscribed 'C III S' 18½in. (47cm.) Sold with Oliver Baker's Black Jacks and Leather Bottells, printed for W.J.Fieldhouse by J.Burrow & Co, circa 1921 (2)
