Notre tableau est à mettre en relation avec la Madonna Botti d'Andrea Del Sarto redécouverte en 2001, exposée à l'Institut Courtauld en 2001-2003 et conservée dans une collection particulière (panneau, 58 x 41 cm). Outre notre tableau, il existe trois autres versions d'atelier de cette composition, la première conservée à Hampton Court (panneau, 56,2 x 42,7 cm), la deuxième, conservée à Alnwick Castle, collection du duc de Northumberland (panneau, 56,2 x 42,7 cm) et enfin la troisième, conservée à Oberlin (Ohio), Oberlin College, Allen Memorial Art Museum (panneau transféré sur verre, 59,3 x 44 cm). Soulignons que le peintre Jacopino del Conte (1510 - 1598) a repris le motif de la Vierge dans une composition plus grande, La Vierge à L'Enfant avec saint Jean-Baptiste conservée à Berlin, Staatlische Museen, Gemäldegalerie (panneau, 123 x 92,5 cm). Our painting has to be situated in relation to Andrea Del Sarto's Madonna Botti rediscovered in 2001, displayed at the Courtauld Institute in 2001-2003 and kept in a private collection (board, 58 x 41 cm). In addition to our painting, there are three other versions of this work by the studio, the first kept at Hampton Court (board, 56.2 x 42.7 cm), the second at Alnwick Castle, Duke of Northumberland's collection (board, 56.2 x 42.7 cm) and the third is kept at Oberlin (Ohio), Oberlin College, Allen Memorial Art Museum (board transferred on glass, 59.3 x 44 cm). The painter Jacopino del Conte (1510 - 1598) used the motif of the Virgin in a larger painting, The Virgin and Child with Saint John the Baptist kept in Berlin, State Museums of Berlin, Gemäldegalerie (board, 123 x 92.5 cm).
