An oval profile portrait of a woman, probably by Albin Robert Burt (British, 1784-1842), signed "A.R. Burt" under bust, and inscribed "Painted by A.R. Burt/Nantwich/June 11 1813," and "Mother of B.B. Powell" in a different hand on the backing paper, watercolor on paper, 2 1/2 x 2, in a lacquered frame with gilt-brass liner; and a round portrait of a baby girl holding a rattle, watercolor on paper, dia. approx. 2 1/8 in., in a molded walnut frame. Condition: Both with toning, Baby has two tears, one c.l., the other vertical, on right side, and the paper laid down onto paper mounting.
