Woodcut border on title, 49 woodcuts in text by Christoffel van Sichem ornaments in the Byzantine style. Contemporary calf, covers richly gilt with a floral border centering an gilt-oval crucifixion scene, spine gilt, one brass catch preserved, gilt and gauffred edges (some restoration, lacks three catches and clasps). Provenance : purchased from Emil Offenbacher, 19 March 1955. An early Armenian hymnal published under the supervision of Bishop Tovmas Vanandec'i, including cuts by Christoffel van Sichem The first Armenian book published in Amsterdam in 1660 had included cuts by van Sichem, and Armenian printers continued to use them throughout this early period. Only a copy at the Wellcome Institute is located on OCLC.
