BAUDIUS, Dominicus. Amores, edente Petro Scriverio, inscripti Th. Graswinckelio, equiti , Leiden: apud Franciscos Hegerum & Hackium [typis Georgii Abrahami vander Marse], 1638. 16, woodcut vignette on title, engraved portrait of Baudius, woodcut headpieces and initials (lacking one preliminary called for by Willems, inscription erased from title, lower corner of portrait torn with slight loss to border and with paper repair, portrait also slightly stained, a few light spots), early 19th-century red straight-grained morocco gilt, roll-tool floral border on sides, flat spine with repeated ornament, title directly lettered, also lettered at foot: "Elzevi 1638", gilt turn-ins, g.e. Provenance : ALGERNON CHARLES SWINBURNE'S COPY with the bookplate from his library at The Pines, Putney Hill .
