Contemp. full calf, gilt decorated spine on 5 bands (rubbed). 1st edition of the Dutch translation by C. Kiliaan and P. Montanus. Blaeu used Cornelis Claesz.'s copperplates from the French ed., supplemented with some new ones. Not all of these last ones were already included in this copy. It misses the 4 unnumbered pl. of Amsterdam and Gouda, as well as Middelburg-Stadhuis, Dunkerque-Philippeville and Beaumont. Yet, it has the later historical map "Caerte van Zeeland gelyk dat gelegen was in 't jaer by M. Smallegange from the "Nieuwe Cronyk van Zeeland" (Middelburg, J. Meertens/Abraham van Someren, 1696).
