BERT OLDFIELD 1935-36, Australian Test Tour Blazer for South Africa, green wool, gold silk trim, brass buttons, Australian coat-of-arms worked in gold and silver wire and coloured silk, Farmer's Sydney label inscribed in ink 'W.A.Oldfield' This was the second of Oldfield's two tours to South Africa, the first being in 1921-22. Jack Hobbs described Oldfield as 'the best keeper of his time' and 'an artist in everything he did behind the wicket'. Australia won four of the five Test matches, the fifth being drawn.
