Charles Alfred Meurer (1865-1955) was an American artist who was born in Germany while his American mother was visiting relatives. Mr. Meurer lived in Cincinnati and studied art with Frank Duveneck while in at the Cincinnati Art Academy. He then went on to Paris and Lyon for further study. He is noted for his trompe l'oeil works, landscapes, and portraits. Condition: Laid down on board.
