Chassis n° 107 Carte grise française Les anglais ont inventé la Mini Moke et les "shorty" (voitures raccourcies par des artisans carrossiers). Un français (Jean-Claude Hrubon) a conjugué les deux en créant la "moke-shorty", plus connue sous le nom de SCHMITT. 200 exemplaires ont été commercialisés, en kit ou immatriculés, de 1981 à 1987, sous le nom de HRUBON, puis SCHMITT et finalement LA PUCE, par trois constructeurs successifs : Hrubon, Automobiles Schmitt et Ets Charlatte. Le moteur de 49,9 cm3 est un monocylindre 2 temps placé à l'avant. Elle est conduisible dès 14 ans, et par ceux qui n'ont plus de permis... Quelques dizaines d'exemplaires ont été commercialisés par la société Automobiles Schmitt en Alsace. La boite de vitesse est automatique, avec variateur et marche arrière. Le refroidissement est par air. Les amortisseurs sont hydrauliques. Sa longueur est de 2m12, et la largeur de 1m44. Notre exemplaire est en très bel état et fonctionne bien.
