Image of a seated woman in a dress holding flowers. 4x3, and mounted on a piece of paper 8x5½. [c.1855] * Three hand-colored steel engravings from the volume titled: Shakspeare Sisterhood: Comprising Forty-Five Ideal Portraits... Includes the portraits of Celia, Virgilia, and Lady Grey 10½x7½. [1859]. * Four hand-colored engravings from Lady's Fashion Books of the 19th Century such as Godey's and Peterson's. * Color silkscreen print by Emile Gallois of a woman in fancy dress. 12½x9½. [c.1950]. Also includes: Three hand-colored engraved costume plates from various publications: Mexican figures, Russian figures, and a French lady. * Two loose hand-colored engraved plates by William Poole 14x10¼. Each chipped lightly along edges, one with dampstain along top edge. 1804. * Two chromolithographs of costume, from two different publications; one from a German encyclopedia, and one from a French work on English dress. * One hand-colored aquatint of military dress from the year 1250. 12½x10. [c.1820]. All together 17 costume plates, all but two in matting. Lot Amendments Condition: Most with some degree of edge wear, generally mild to moderate; some with light marginal foxing; overall very good. Item number: 201196
