Robinson 1788, FIRST EDITION, engraved portrait, Mitchell 32; together 10 vols., 4to, the atlas in large folio, uniformly bound in nineteenth-century green half morocco, smooth spines gilt in compartments with anchor motifs, t.e.g., some deckle edges uncut, extremities a bit rubbed, atlas joints and extremities more severely rubbed with some leather loss, spines a trifle faded, 3-inch tear to pl. 11 in vol. 2 of First Voyage and fold break to a map in same volume, fraying and minor marginal repairs to pls. 36 and 37 in v. 3 (pl. 36 caption cropped), a few borders shaved in v. 2 of Second Voyage, folding pl. 20 in same vol. glued shut on verso, short tears at mount edges of a few maps, one or two small holes or repaired tears to text leaves, occasional faint offsetting, mostly marginal foxing to atlas plates, very occasional foxing elsewhere . Ink-stamps of Tho. Hutches in margins of plates in atlas volume. (10)
