Lot of 5 sixth plate daguerreotypes all housed in full or half pressed paper cases, one of which features a wall mount on top for display. This group of portraits captures familial affection between its young sitters, presumably siblings. One scene of note features a boy wearing a dark jacket and large bow-tie holding his sister's hand and resting his right arm on her shoulder. She, meanwhile, wears a short-sleeved dress with lace trim, a dark statement necklace with a cross, and hair ribbons. In another charming portrait, a young girl in a polka dot dress and necklace holds what appears to be a delicate straw bag. She is posed endearingly with her baby brother, who wears an assortment of printed clothing, including argyle socks, checked trousers, and a plaid shirt.
