C'est le sentiment interieur et la conscience de ces services qui suffiroit seul a consoler de l'ingratitude publique celui qui les a rendus', referring to Voltaire, Condorcet, and to his own situation, incomplete (ending in mid-sentence), on a bifolium, 4 pages, 260 x 180mm , numerous cancellations and revisions (discoloured, torn at margins and professionally repaired); together with a letter by his father, Jean Benoit Nicolas Desmoulins, Reunion-sur-Oise, '9 Germinal' n.y. [29 March 1793] , breaking the news of his mother's death, with an affectionate message to Camille's wife and child, ½ page, 4to , integral address leaf. (2)
