Peter McVay was born in the Parish of St Anns, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and was a shoeing smith when he enlisted into the 11th Hussars on 15 May 1882, having previous service in the Northumberland Yeomanry. He was discharged at Canterbury on 14 May 1894. Sold with copy discharge papers.
