FIRST TROOP, ROYAL DUBLIN LIGHT DRAGOONS, LATE 18TH CENTURY IRISH YEOMANRY SHOULDER BELT PLATE. Oval, gilt on copper, crowned Maid of Erin harp engraved at centre dividing the designation ''1st'' and ''TRp'', the date ''1796'' engraved in the field below, twin ribbons above and below bearing the regimental title ''Royal Dublin Lt. Dragoons'', twin hooks and pair of fixing studs to reverse, circa 1796, 3.25'' x 2.5'' (8.3 x 6.4cm) vertical approx.
