Two hexagonal tea caddies with rolled paper ornament, one with gilt patterns of concentric circles and leaves, having lightwood inlay edges, the other with black paper background and spiral inlay edges. Each having a ring handle and opening to a single compartment; larger ht. 5.25, wd. 6.75, dp. 4 in., smaller ht. 4.75, wd. 7, dp. 4 in. Provenance: Property from the Collection of Dr. James and Betty Sutherland, Cincinnati, OH Condition: Both missing original interior lids. Three significant areas of paper loss to gilt box- front three panels.
