Great Britain Postal History: A letter written and signed by Rowland Hill, inventor of the penny post. Privately addressed to Thomas Wrigley Esq., the single page sheet of Royal Mail 'Post Office' embossed paper is hand written in black ink to both sides and reads 'Dear Sir, I am desirous of seeing you with reference to your Memorial to the Treasury about Midsummer last. If in town, perhaps you will favour me with a call on Monday next at half past one. If not in town have the goodness to say when I may expect to see you? Yours truly,' signed 'Roland Hill' and dated '1st April 1859'. Displayed within a double sided frame beneath glass. Page dimensions: 7 in (17.9 cm) x 4.5 in (11.5 cm).
