Long range rear sight and sling swivels in place. Adopted in 1912, the Type 44 carbine remained in use from that year through the end of WWII, with some 91,900 being produced between 1911 and 1942. Condition: Very fine. Retains most of the original blue. Fine, bright bore. Mechanically functional. All markings crisp and clear. Wood crisp with minor bumps and dings. A really outstanding example of an all matching Type 44 carbine that retains all of its original markings.
