Half title, engraved frontispiece portrait of the author in volume I, 42 plates, mostly folding, one folding letterpress table, woodcut headpieces and initials (scored inscription on all titles save for vol.II, some browning and waterstaining). Contemporary mottled calf, spines gilt in compartments, lettering-pieces (with some repairs).
